Dynamic Duo

South Korea's Dynamic Duo are a hip-hop duo comprised of rappers Choi Jae-ho and Kim Yoon-sung, better known by their respective stage names of Choiza and Gaeko. The two men were childhood friends and began their hip-hop career as part of the trio CB Mass, recording three albums with the group until they discovered the third member had been embezzling funds from the group and subsequently split up in 2003. The following year the two friends released their critically-acclaimed debut album 'Taxi Driver' which sold 50,000 copies during the first month of its release, eventually going on to be the best selling hip-hop album ever released in South Korea. The success continued when the following year their follow up album 'Double Dynamite' was voted Best Hip-Hop album at the Korean Music Awards. Their career continued in an upward trajectory only to be interrupted in 2009 by both artists getting their call-up papers for the South Korean military enforcing a two-year recording hiatus on the duo. After returning to normal duties in 2011 their run of success continued unabated with three top ten albums including 'Dynamic Duo 6th Digilog 2/2' which topped the charts in 2012.
