A very singular story, that of John Grant. An artist who thought he would never make music again, following the dissolution of his previous band The Czars, Grant continues to surprise himself in a widely acclaimed solo career. His third album, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, is probably his darkest album since his debut, wrapping his electronic op in an oddly squeaky sarcasm that befits him to perfection. Recorded in Dallas with the help of the producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Franz Ferdinand, Swans), this disc does not cease to amaze from beginning to end, with its multiple sonic nuances that the two friends took pleasure in tweaking.
