Young Jonn

Nigeria's Young Jonn is successful as both a record producer and solo artist. Working at the Hit Factory studio beginning in 2012, he produced hits for Olamide, Davido, Lil Kesh, and others before he emerged as a singer in his own right. The EPs Love Is Not Enough, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 appeared in 2022, and debut album Jiggy Forever arrived in 2024. Born in Ibadan, Oyo State in 1995, Young Jonn started learning an instrument as a child. He formed his first group, AVG, with his brothers but it didn't really take off. He went on to study Communication and Language at Ibadan University before signing on as a producer at Hit Factory in 2012. His breakthrough came after producing some tracks for Olamide in 2014, including the hit single "Story for the Gods." This led to work with numerous artists, including Davido, Lil Kesh, and Flavour. After a decade of record producing, Jonn signed to Chocolate City and released two EPs, Love Is Not Enough, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Jiggy Forever, his first full-length, appeared in 2024.
