The Ark Band

One of America's top reggae groups, the Ark Band regularly performs at choice festivals and concerts to appreciative crowds using vocals, musicianship, and sweet harmonies to blow audiences away. The Columbus, OH-based bandmembers aren't studio rats, preferring in-your-face, live, and in-concert confrontations. A five-year gap separates the band's critically acclaimed debut, Na Give Up, on Amerisound Records, and their next release. The members are God-fearing and united in the belief that they were assembled to uplift spirits via Caribbean music. The lineup consists of former residents of St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands, and Jamaica, including founders Terry Bobb (drums, vocals), Eustace Bobb (bass, vocals), Mike Scott (guitar, vocals), and Morris Brown (keyboards). Augmenting on recordings and sometimes concerts are Mike Smith (keyboards), Damon Arterbridge (lead vocals, percussion), Mike Iannicello (lead guitar), and Neal Carrington (trumpet, percussion); Joe McCarthy, the sound engineer, twirls the knobs and keeps everything tight. In 2000, the Ark Band released their second CD, Love Is What You Need.
