S.O.A.P.
Former Danish pop duo S.O.A.P. comprised sisters Heidi "Suriya" Sørensen (October 18, 1979) and Saseline "Line" Sørensen (July 26, 1982), who were were born in the state of Perak in Malaysia and raised in Næstved in Denmark by a Malaysian mother and Danish father. After forming in 1997, they enjoyed an initial burst of success in 1998 with their debut single "This Is How We Party," which was written by Danish producer, composer and songwriter Remee and Holger Lagerfeldt. The dance-pop hit ascended to the Top 10 in various countries around the world, topping the charts in Sweden and reaching Number 3 in their native Denmark. "This Is How We Party" was featured on the group's debut album, Not Like Other Girls, which was released in March 1998 for Sony Music Entertainment and won best pop album at the 1999 Danish Music Awards as well as reaching Number 3 in Denmark. They were also crowned best new act at the Danish Music Awards, and later that year bagged a Christmas hit with "Let Love Be Love," released in collaboration with Danish R&B group Juice and Christina featuring Remee. A second album arrived in 2000, Miracle, which didn't quite reach the same heights of success as their debut, although it did go to Number 3 in Denmark. S.O.A.P. disbanded in 2002 but in 2019, "This Is How We Party" was given a new lease of life when it was sampled in the track of the same name by R3hab and Icona Pop.
