Philippe Bestion
French new age composer Philippe Bestion's first album, 1998's Tai Chi Vol. 1: Le Retour du Tigre, was created as an aid in preparing one's self for and thereby enhancing the experience of the martial art, while Visualisation Créatrice Vol. 1: La Reconstruction, from the same year, instead provided music that encouraged humans to use their brains to their full capacities. Bestion, who used sounds from nature as well as a flute, percussion, and synthesizers to produce his music, also worked extensively with fellow new age musician Karin Nobbs, including on her 2001 release, Le Songe de Brocéliande.
