Voilà un album hardcore. Mais avec Kaaris et Kalash Criminel réunis, comment pouvait-il en être autrement ? SVR est avant tout un enchaînement jouissif de punchlines virulentes par deux des meilleurs spécialistes de la discipline. « On n’a pas fait de grandes études, mais on a fait les plus grandes écoles du crime », scandent-ils sur l’explosif C’est nous les O.G. Comme pour rappeler que, derrière l’exercice de style, il y a une réalité bien ancrée. Les deux rappeurs atteignent par moments une superbe osmose, notamment sur les titres Balistique ou Tu dois des sous, certainement le titre le plus marquant de cet album. Chacun est fidèle à son style de prédilection : Kaaris promet des assassinats en série à grands coups de hache, quand Kalash Criminel continue de disséminer des messages panafricanistes au milieu des menaces. Frontal, SVR cache tout de même un aspect plus léger, notamment sur les morceaux Sur le banc, Shooter, ou Goudronné, qui frôle la mélancolie et l’exposition des traumatismes d’enfance.
