Les fans devraient être comblés. Voici que sort cinq lives de Dire Straits dans un unique coffret avec remasters et inédits. Les bien connus Alchemy (1984), On The Night (1993) et le Live At The BBC, sorti en 1995 mais qui est en majeur partie un concert de 1978, ont tous les trois été remasterisés pour l’occasion. Alchemy se voit augmenté de deux pistes du même concert jamais sorties (Industrial Disease et Twisting By Pool), tandis que six inédits viennent s'ajouter à On The Night, concert de mai 1992 aux Arènes de Nîmes pour l'ultime On Every Street Tour, parmi lesquels Tunnel Of Love, Telegraph Road ou encore Sultans Of Swing.

Le plus rare EP Encores, capté lui aussi à Nîmes et sorti peu après On The Night, est pour la première fois disponible au digital et avait déjà été remasterisé pour une édition limitée durant le Black Friday 2021. Enfin, l’ensemble se clôt avec la plus grosse surprise : 21 morceaux enregistrés durant les live du 20 et 21 décembre 1979 au Rainbow Theatre Show de Londres, dont quatre avec le bassiste de Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott. Un coffret gargantuesque qui permet d’écouter dans de meilleures conditions le groupe sur la route et dans son ascension, avant que le virtuose Mark Knopfler, épuisé, en décide autrement. © Charlotte Saintoin/Qobuz
