Marisha Wallace
American-born Marisha Wallace was best known for her roles in Broadway and West End musicals before she hit the charts with her sophomore album, 2020's Tomorrow.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Wallace first found fame in the 2012 U.S. touring version of The Book of Mormon before going on to perform in Broadway productions of Aladdin and Something Rotten. A move to London in 2016 saw her take on the role of the alternative Effie White in the West End production of Dreamgirls. The following year, she delivered her debut album, the holiday-themed Soul Holiday. Over the next few years, she continued to work in the West End with roles in shows such as Waitress, while also performing for the movie Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. At the end of 2020, Wallace released her sophomore album, Tomorrow, which saw her take on several songs from musicals alongside a selection of classic pop numbers. In 2021, she returned to the stage opposite Michael Ball, who appeared on Tomorrow, in the West End revival of Hairspray.
