Double album live issu de la tournée de promotion de Break Every Rule, ce double disque présente pas moins de vingt-quatre titres où Tina Turner, au faîte de sa gloire, est accompagnée par des musiciens déchaînés.
La chanteuse y interprète des titres de son dernier album, mais aussi et surtout un répertoire de ses anciens succès, revitalisés par une orchestration véritablement orgiaque : « Proud Mary » et « River Deep - Mountain High » bénéficient notamment d’interprétations particulièrement habitées. On peut également apprécier le thème du film Mad Max : Au-delà du tonnerre, « We Don’t Need Another Hero », ainsi que les participations d’invités vedettes, présents sur scène pour effectuer avec Tina Turner des bœufs mémorables : David Bowie sur deux titres (« Tonight » et « Let’s Dance »), Bryan Adams (« It’s Only Love »), Robert Cray (« 634 – 5789 », troisième titre de Wilson Pickett sur cet album !) et Eric Clapton (« Tearing Us Apart ») sont ainsi les cerises d’un gâteau des plus copieux, avec lequel Tina Turner nous a bien rempli l’assiette.

Chronique
Double album live issu de la tournée de promotion de Break Every Rule, ce double disque présente pas moins de vingt-quatre titres où Tina Turner, au faîte de sa gloire, est accompagnée par des musiciens déchaînés.
La chanteuse y interprète des titres de son dernier album, mais aussi et surtout un répertoire de ses anciens succès, revitalisés par une orchestration véritablement orgiaque : « Proud Mary » et « River Deep - Mountain High » bénéficient notamment d’interprétations particulièrement habitées. On peut également apprécier le thème du film Mad Max : Au-delà du tonnerre, « We Don’t Need Another Hero », ainsi que les participations d’invités vedettes, présents sur scène pour effectuer avec Tina Turner des bœufs mémorables : David Bowie sur deux titres (« Tonight » et « Let’s Dance »), Bryan Adams (« It’s Only Love »), Robert Cray (« 634 – 5789 », troisième titre de Wilson Pickett sur cet album !) et Eric Clapton (« Tearing Us Apart ») sont ainsi les cerises d’un gâteau des plus copieux, avec lequel Tina Turner nous a bien rempli l’assiette.
