The follow-up to 2014's Worlds Apart EP, The Throes of Winter finds electro-magician Jeff Montalvo (aka Seven Lions) once again opting for the extended play format, offering up a brand-new six-track set that skillfully pairs emotionally charged singer/songwriter pop with hypnotic dubstep. Working once again with a rotating cast of guest vocalists, including Haliene ("The End"), Lynn Gunn ("Lose Myself"), Davey Havok ("December"), and Sombear ("A Way to Say Goodbye"), the radio and dancefloor-ready The Throes of Winter is another worthy addition to the shape-shifting producer's increasingly vital body of work.
