Après l’avoir qualifié de "magnifique album à tous égards", le magazine Diapason concluait son article sur "Suite Case. Violin Duos from Vivaldi to Sollima" avec cette question : "Pour quand pouvons-nous espérer le deuxième volume ?"
Pour ce nouveau projet, le violon de Stefano Barneschi cède la place au violoncelle de Giovanni Sollima, ce musicien de Palerme aux multiples talents que l’on découvre sous une autre facette que celle de compositeur. Pour ce nouveau voyage, qui commence à nouveau avec Antonio Vivaldi, Giovanni Sollima et Chiara Zanisi passent de la musique ancienne à la musique contemporaine, du classique au folk (les Old Scots Tunes de Francesco Barsanti), avec deux joyaux inédits du compositeur romain Giovanni Battista Costanzi. L’enregistrement tout entier est ponctué de morceaux tirés de Suite Case, un cycle composé spécialement par Sollima pour ce projet. © Arcana
