Continuing her streak of fine albums, Lorrie Morgan turns in another winner with Shakin' Things Up. Although Morgan has moved a little too close to the smooth surfaces of contemporary country (her cover of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" is simply too calculated), she still has grit and passion in her voice, which helps make even mediocre material sound good. Fortunately, there aren't many weak songs on Shakin' Things Up, and the album just offers more evidence that Morgan is one of the best country vocalists of the '90s.
