C’est une rhétorique bien connue dans le rap français moderne, mais que Hatik maîtrise comme personne : celle de l’artiste qui a battu le déterminisme par la détermination, l'artiste arrivé tout en haut, dont le trône est convoité par les traîtres, et qui se retourne vers ses fondamentaux – la plupart du temps sa mère et Dieu. Le deuxième album du rappeur parisien, niyya, fait l’état des lieux des blessures reçues lors de l’ascension de son auteur. Un paest empreint de doutes, une ode à l’idée de surmonter l’adversité.
On l’entend avec évidence sur le titre Sans le sou, en featuring avec Ronisia, sur le monologue au piano Un Gosse, mais surtout sur l’introduction de l’album, contée par Médine dans un style cinématographique. « J’ai Dieu avec moi, c’est ma sécu », affirme Hatik, comme si, au sommet, il ne pouvait trouver d’allié qu’en le divin. Lorsqu’il redescend sur terre, qu’il chaloupe ses rythmiques, c’est souvent pour faire émerger une forme de mélancolie, jusqu’à délaisser son rap pour embrasser totalement la variété française sur Shoot. Avec niyya, Hatik fait primer l’émotion, celle qui permet la complexité et l’expressivité limpide. @Brice Miclet/Qobuz
