Double album live de la tournée triomphale qui le révéla au grand public, Le Tour de -M- est une bonne manière de découvrir l’univers de Matthieu Chédid dans son principal élément, la scène.
Avec -M-, le terme de « live » prend tout son sens, l’exubérance du chanteur en contact avec son public donnant à ses titres un vibrato difficilement égalable. Le standard « Je dis aime », avec d’autres morceaux farfelus comme « Le Mec hamac » ou « Le Complexe du corn flake », y acquiert une dimension réellement touchante, qu’avait peut-être tuée ses trop nombreux passages sur les ondes.
