Publié de manière à coïncider avec la sortie de son film ATL, King, quatrième opus studio du rappeur américain Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. Alias T.I., voit le jour en 2006 et, s'il ne change pas particulièrement la ligne directrice de ses précédents efforts, en affine chaque aspect, proposant son album le plus solide en date. Et le public ne s'y trompe pas, permettant au MC d'Atlanta de s'élever au dessus de la scène Dirty South qui l'a vu exploser et de devenir une figure majeure du hip-hop, régulièrement présente à l'écran dès lors. Porté par des titres comme "What You Know" ou "Why You Wanna", King regorge en outre de featurings signés UGK, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell, Common ou Young Buck et s'impose comme un classique de la culure gangsta rap.
