L'oeuvre de Francesco Corselli était encore il y a peu totalement inconnue des mélomanes. L'enregistrement en 2002 de son opéra Farnace (Madrid 1739) a attiré l'attention sur un compositeur essentiel de l'Espagne du dix-huitième siècle, un esprit débordant d'inventivité. Cet enregistrement offre une sélection d'extraits de l'opéra farnace, dans une approche renouvelée. Egalement au programme de ce disque, la Missa Concertata (1729) écrite pour la chapelle royale de Charles III d'Espagne, une oeuvre superbe qui combine la maîtrise du style polychoral et la sévérité de la polyphonie espagnole.
