Sioen
A key figure on the Belgian singer/songwriter scene since the early 2000s, multi-instrumentalist Frederik Sioen (born in Ghent, 1979), studied classical music before he began competing in various pop/rock contests as a solo artist. After recruiting a permanent backing band, including future Absynthe Minded violinist Renaud Ghilbert, he was asked to compose the soundtrack for 2003 film, Team Spirit II. The same year, Sioen he released his debut album, See You Naked, and following 2004's Ease Your Mind and 2007's A Potion, he teamed up with several local South African musicians in 2009 to record the Calling Up Soweto LP. His self-titled fifth studio effort arrived in 2012.
