Molly Parden

Molly Parden crafts intimate, atmospheric songs rooted in the small yet powerful moments that shape us. The Nashville singer-songwriter has elicited regional and national acclaim for her delicate blend of indie folk, pop, and melancholic Americana, as heard on her assured second album, 2023's Sacramented. Born in Jonesboro, Georgia, Parden spent her formative years absorbing music from the church hymnal and plucking out simple melodies on a handmade violin inherited from her great uncle. She eventually found her way to Atlanta where she spent three years honing her songwriting and performing skills amidst the vibrant, eastside arts community. In 2011, Parden released her debut album, Time Is Medicine, and relocated to Nashville two years later. Gifted with a voice amenable to harmony, she quickly found work in Music City, lending her vocals to over 50 records in just a few short years and performing in multiple bands. A pair of EPs, With Me in the Summer and Rosemary, appeared in 2016 and 2020, respectively, followed by a steady stream of singles including collaborations with Sam Outlaw ("Wild Child") and Tony Anderson ("Secret Garden"). 2023 saw the release of Parden's sophomore long-player, Sacramented, a subtly lush and contemplative set of sunset indie folk anchored by the singles "Cigarette," "Algorithm, and "I See Right Now."
