Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine

The Juno-nominated Canadian pop duo Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine made a name for themselves with their relatable songwriting, Fine's fiery, yearning delivery, and Woods' high-contrast production, all of which stood out on singles like "Ain't Easy" and "Want You Back" as well as the 2019 EP 8:47. Producer Elijah Woods and singer/songwriter Jamie Fine started making music together after meeting at Algonquin College in Ottawa in 2014. After coming in first on the second episode of the talent competition show The Launch in January 2018, Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine recorded and released the song "Ain't Easy." Written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Camila Cabello, and Zach Skelton, it was then rearranged by Woods and Fine, and produced by Tedder. The single reached the Top 40 of the Canadian Hot 100 in April of that year and ultimately earned the duo a 2019 SOCAN Pop Music Award. The pair returned to the Hot 100 in November 2018 with the follow-up "Better Off," which reached number 69. Both tracks were included on their debut EP, 8:47, issued by Big Machine Records/Universal Music Canada in March 2019. After earning Juno Award nominations for Group of the Year and Pop album of the Year, Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine released the single "Want You Back" in March 2020.
