Chlara
The Filipino pop singer Chlara Magtultol was born in England but after her father passed way her mother took her back to the Philippines where she was raised from the age of nine. Music was a major part of her home life and the songs of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters and Whitney Houston provided the backdrop to her teenage years and became significant influences in her own ballad-oriented songwriting.
While still at school Chlara enrolled in singing lessons and began learning guitar. In common with many young singers of her generation, watching other artist's videos on YouTube played an important role in helping formulate her singing and playing style. Prior to commencing her senior education at college Chlara had already starting composing songs with a view to starting a pop career and her break came when she signed a long term record deal with Evolution. After featuring on a compilation album performing Lional Richie's 'Stuck On You' Chlara released her debut album 'Unstoppable' in 2014.
