Aidan Bissett

Singer/songwriter Aidan Bissett makes hooky and stylishly youthful guitar-based indie pop marked by his self-effacing sense of humor and laid-back vibe. He first gained traction on social media with the single "Different," which paved the way for 2021's More Than Friends EP and 2022's I'm Alright If You're Ok EP. Bisset stayed busy in 2023, issuing a string of singles including the hits "Bloom" and "Out of My League." Born in Tampa, Florida, Bissett spent much of his youth in Portland, Oregon, where he got his first guitar in second grade. Growing up, he was exposed to classic rock groups like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. His family eventually moved back to Tampa, where he discovered indie rock bands like Wallows, COIN, and Tame Impala as a teenager. At 15, he formed his first group and started playing shows. The band broke up, but Bissett kept writing songs, along with teaching himself how to record at home on his computer. It was while in lockdown during the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that he began posting covers as well as his own songs online to social media. Several of his tracks caught on, and he was soon gaining a following. Among his fans was singer/bassist Blu DeTiger, who helped put him in touch with a producer, leading to his viral hit "Different." More tracks followed, including "More Than Friends," "Worst Girls of All Time," and "Communication." In 2021 he signed with Capitol Records. That same year, he compiled a handful of his singles on his debut EP, More Than Friends. Another EP, I'm Alright If You're Ok, arrived in 2022, featuring the song "Tripping Over Air." Bisset kicked off 2023 with heartfelt singles "Out of My League" and "Bloom," with the high-energy "Sick" appearing later that year.
