Staying and lasting at the top isn’t within everyone’s reach. Craig David, who established himself as an innovative R&B voice as soon as his first album released in 2000, Born To Do It, when he was only 19 years old, knows a thing or two about that. Eighteen years later, having gone through the best and the worst, the Brit from Southampton intends to remind people that he’s still as creative as possible. For his seventh album, David finds a certain balance between his personal touch and more contemporary sounds. He thus alternates with elegance between pure R&B, EDM and sweet pop. And when he gets the help of a gifted tinkerer like Kaytranada and a rapper as ingenious as GoldLink (Live In The Moment), he gets a second wind without actually sounding opportunistic.
