Although he made his film debut in Robinson Crusoe (1997), he didn’t come to prominence until his role in the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers. He was honored with an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in 2014 and a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 2022. After working as a narrator – with Helen Mirren – on composer Debbie Wiseman’s album The Music of Kings and Queens, Damien Lewis was inspired to write songs that would eventually make up his debut album. In 2023, he released his debut album, Mission Creep, which consisted of mostly original material that reflected his folk, blues, and jazz roots. Mission Creep was a success and entered the British Jazz and Blues Albums chart at number 2.
