Après un an derrière les barreaux pour possession illégale de mitraillettes, l’autoproclamé roi du Sud s’épanche sur ses conflits personnels dans un album introspectif. Le titre fait référence à la décision de T.I. de coucher à nouveau ses rimes sur papier ; dans cet artisanat lyrique où l’icône d’Atlanta fouille dans ses problèmes personnels sont évoqués ses démêlés avec la justice ("Ready for Whatever") et son expérience de la prison ("You Ain’t Missing Nothing"). T.I. collabore également avec son ancien rival Ludacris sur la grandiose "On Top of the World", évoque la relation cannibale qui existe entre les vies personnelles des rappeurs et leur art sur "My Life Your Entertainment" et livre avec son posse (Kanye West, Jay-Z et Lil Wayne) le grandiloquent "Swagga Like Us".
