Americana II, également orthographié AmerIIcana, est la suite de l'album que Roch Voisine a sorti l'année précédente, Americana (2008), une collection de standards country américains enregistrés à Nashville. Chanté en anglais pour la plupart, avec quelques versions en français ajoutées comme titres bonus, Americana a été un gros succès en France, où il a atteint la troisième position des charts d'albums. Par conséquent, la suite comporte un nombre plus important de versions en français, et les standards sont même assez passe-partout, favorisant plutôt le country-rock que la country classique du premier album Americana. Une fois encore, les chansons sont interprétées fidèlement, avec une production signée Chad Carlson, un ingénieur de Nashville qui a notamment à son actif le méga tube country-pop Fearless de Taylor Swift (2008).
