A Top Ten hit on the Portuguese albums chart, Golden Era spawned numerous hit singles ("Hey Tom," "Dream on Girl," "The Beginning Song," "Chose Love") and earned Rita a nomination for Best Portuguese Act at the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards. Produced by Rita in conjunction with Nélson Carvalho, Golden Era features contributions from backing musicians Filipe Monteiro (guitar, keyboards), Nuno Simões (bass), and Sérgio Nascimento (drums).
