ONG SEONG WU
South Korean singer Ong Seong Wu first came to prominence after his appearance on the 2017 music talent show Produce 101, before embarking on a solo career, which saw him deliver his debut EP, Layers, in 2020.
Born in Incheon, South Korea, Seong Wu grew up playing drums before becoming a professional dancer after majoring in dance and acting, and joining a number of street dance teams. 2016 saw him become an acting trainee for a South Korean entertainment company, which sent him to audition for the music talent show Produce 101. Placing fifth in the overall show, Seong Wu was selected to become one of the members of Wanna One. In 2018 the group delivered their debut album 1¹¹=1 (Power of Destiny) before disbanding just a year later. Seong Wu embarked on his solo career that year, delivering his debut single, the Flowblow-produced Heart Sign. That year also saw him make his acting debut on the drama At Eighteen. 2020 saw him deliver two more singles, "We Belong" and "Gravity," before issuing his debut EP Layers.
