Xiao Zhan

Xiao Zhan (October 5, 1991), also known as Sean Xiao, is a Chinese Mandopop singer and actor who has been featured on countless films and TV series, also contributing to their respective soundtracks. Born in Chongqing, Xiao Zhan showed great talent for art from a very early age, taking painting lessons and picking up the violin. After graduating from the Modern International Art Design Academy in 2014, he took part in the reality music competition X-Fire, becoming the lead vocalist for boy band X Nine in 2016. Following X Nine’s debut album X Jiu in September 2016, Xiao Zhan landed his first leading role on the TV drama Super Star Academy and made a cameo on the series Shuttle Love Millennium 2. In 2018, he acted in the historical web drama Oh! My Emperor and sang the song “Stepping on Shadows,” included in its original soundtrack. He continued his meteoric ascent in 2019 with roles on the series The Untamed, Jade Dynasty, and Joy of Life, participating in their soundtracks as well. A year later, he entered the Guinness World Records after his 2020 single “Spot Light” became the fastest-selling digital track in China and starred in the historical fiction The Wolf alongside Darren Wang and Li Qin.
