Paveier

The Cologne dialect and carnival band Paveier was founded in 1983 and was formed from the members of the former country band Colonia Rangers Hans-Ludwig Brühl (guitar, vocals), Micky Brühl (frontman), Klaus Lückerath (vocals, guitar), Bodo Scholz (bass guitar) and Detlef Vorholt (keyboard). Their first two songs "Am Ruusemondach" and "Ich nemm d'r Dom met" were written and composed by Hans Knipp. The Paveier quickly established themselves as a traditional Cologne carnival band, giving countless concerts every year as part of the carnival in Cologne. The band also gave and still gives concerts at venues including the Volksbühne am Rudolfplatz in Cologne, at festivals and open air events and at the Ballhaus in Berlin. the debut album Mer han de Musik bestellt was released in 1984. This was followed by the albums Beim Toni an d'r Iesbud (1985), Üvverall (1987), 20 Erfolge (1988) and Alles okay (1989). After further singles and albums, the Paveier entered the German singles charts in 2007 with the song "Schön ist das Leben" . The song reached 49th place. drummer Johannes Gokus joined in 2003 and singer and guitarist Sven Welter joined the band in 2010. After almost 30 years, frontman Micky Brühl left the Paveier in 2012 and two years later Bodo Schulz also left the band and was replaced by bassist Markus Steinseifer. In February 2016, the single "Leev Marie" from the album of the same name landed in the German charts and reached 34th place.
