Maxine Hardcastle

A British DJ and singer, Maxine Hardcastle rose to prominence in the 2000s playing dance hotspots around the globe. The daughter of Paul Hardcastle, she has appeared on tracks for labels like Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, and more. Born in 1986, Hardcastle was interested in music from an early age, inspired by her father, electronic music icon Paul Hardcastle. She grew up singing and was featured on several of her father's albums including 2005's Hardcastle 4. It was around this time that she began pursuing her own career, working for a time with producer Simon Fuller of Pop Idol/American Idol fame. She soon landed work with the Hed Kandi label, recording on a bevy of the label's house music compilations. Similar work followed for other labels including Universal, Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Deeperfect, Nurvous, and others. Along with singing and songwriting, Hardcastle moved into DJ'ing. In 2015, she helmed a residency at Pacha nightclub in Ibiza. She also appeared on the Pacha World tour. Similar residencies followed including one at Sankeys Ibiza in 2016 and Heart Ibiza in 2017 alongside DJ Sarah Main. In 2019, Hardcastle and her father issued The Collection, a compilation of their work together.
