Frida Boccara

French singer Frida Boccara was one of four performers to be elected winner of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest, alongside entries from Dutch vocalist Lennie Kuhr, the U.K.'s Lulu, and Spain's Salomé. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco, on October 29, 1940, and died on August 1, 1996, from a pulmonary infection.
