Bruce Kurnow
Multi-instrumentalist Bruce Kurnow has recorded more than a dozen albums of new age nature material. He began his career with a country-rock band, though, playing harp and recording with Mason Proffit from 1971 to 1973. Kurnow earned several other sideman credits during the '70s, and recorded Mystery in 1981 for the Musical Experience label. He formed his own production company two years later and released many albums during the '80s, for which he won several Minnesota Music Awards. After Kurnow recorded a four-volume Elements of Nature series in 1993, he and his wife Linda founded Switchback Productions. The company provides releases for Kurnow's continuing series, Portraits of Nature.
