Amanda Green

Amanda Green is the daughter of lyricist and screenwriter Adolph Green and actress/singer Phyllis Newman. Both a writer and performer, she was nominated for a Drama Critic's Circle Award in 2001 for her musical Up the Week Without a Paddle; and her songs were used in the Broadway show Nothing Like a Dame while she has appeared on Broadway herself in a revival of her father's musical Wonderful Town, among other productions. A freelance journalist, she also writes humorous articles for Playboy magazine. In 2003, By Hook Records released Put a Little Love in Your Mouth: The Songs of Amanda Green, a recording of a nightclub revue in which she and a cast of musical theater performers sang her songs.
