Kep1er
Formed by Mnet's survival show Girls Planet 999, Kep1er is a nine-member K-pop girl group comprised of Yujin, Yeseo, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun. In their first two years together, the group released numerous singles and four EPs including 2023's Lovestruck!.
With a name loosely based on German astronomer Johannes Kepler, Kep1er was formed in 2021 through the survival show Girls Planet 999. They debuted in January 2022 with the mini-album First Impact. Featuring the lead single "Wa Da Da," the set's range of electronic sounds landed the group a number one debut on the Gaon charts. "Wa Da Da" also earned Kep1er their first music show award on M Countdown later that month. Two more EPs, Doublast and Troubleshooter, appeared later that year. Led by its bouncy lead single, Kep1er's fourth EP, Lovestruck!, arrived in April 2023.
