Vitor Hublot

Born on June 19, 1961, in Soignies, Guy Clerbois is the brains behind the Vitor Hublot collective. A stonecutter by trade, Guy Clerbois, a self-taught musician, released his first album under his own name, playing with sounds, guitar dissonances, recording speeds... Aller simple was released in 1983. Vitor Hublot took shape in 1986. The idea was to do offbeat covers, and recognition came immediately with the release of "La petite gayole", a traditional Walloon song covered a few years earlier by Julos Beaucarne. The song is taken from the first album 185 millions de francophones, et moi, et moi, et moi..., an avant-garde electro-pop album in which each song is performed by a different singer. Vitor Hublot soon set his sights on the songs of Georges Brassens, and " Marinette" and "La mauvaise réputation " were released as singles in 1989. After a long hiatus, the album Brassens selon Vitor Hublot will be released in 2011, featuring some scathing electro-rock covers. Part of the vocals are provided by Jacques Duvall, and this project will have a certain impact. The following year, with Duvall and Isabelle Wery, Contes de la libido ordinaire was released, an album of covers of love songs by Johnny Hallyday, Jil Caplan, Pierre Vassiliu and Patrick Coutin. In 2015, Guy Clerbois published a review in the form of a primer in his offbeat style, Vitor Hublot anartiste d'avariété, accompanied by a 6-track CD, comes out best-of.
