Sonikem

Sonikem, whose real name is Stéphane-Eddy Mbog, was born in Sarcelles to a Cameroonian father and a Beninese mother. It was at secondary school that he felt his vocation for music, and more particularly rap, a style that can be associated with his first teenage formations. However, he discovered a passion for jazz thanks to a friend on double bass who was looking to form a band, a diversity that led him to explore different musical horizons in his musical quest, notably African rhythms, jazz, salsa and reggae. Now a producer, he has forged a reputation as an "all-round" DJ and rapper, thanks to his ability to blend various musical styles such as lo-fi, boombap, hip hop, jazz, Afro-house and trap. Over the years, he has honed his skills playing at some of the world's most famous clubs and festivals, including Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin and Luxembourg, as well as organizing numerous events. Now a popular DJ, he launches a magazine called Blender Book Magazine, covering art, fashion and alternative culture. Since his debut album Présentation 2.0 in 2009, Sonikem has enriched his discography with numerous chapters, including Beat Therapy in 2014, Baile de Paris in 2020, Excuse My French in 2021, Lofi in the Subway in 2022 and the EP The Bridge in 2023.
