Ostinato

A three-piece comprised of Jeremy Arn (vocals and bass), David Hennessy (guitar), and Matthew Clark, Ostinato hails from the Virginia/Washington D.C. area, and was formed in 1997, releasing their self-financed Unusual Signal CD the following year. But the band performed only sporadically in the period that followed, slowly building a loyal regional fan base, but waiting until 2004 before recording their sophomore effort, Left Too Far Behind, then returned in 2006 with a third opus, Chasing the Form. All three releases defied easy categorization, as each saw the band experimenting with countless, unrelated forms sonic elements of alternative, progressive, ambient, and post-rock styles.
