More Rockers
More Rockers is an alias used by British producers Rob Smith (formerly of Smith & Mighty) and Peter D (part of an early Massive Attack lineup). Both aren't always on the tracks together (playing a bit of "musical chairs" back and forth), but the sound remains the same regardless -- elements of jungle breakbeats, reggae, and R&B are fused together. The duo first began issuing singles (including a cover of Roberta Flack's "First Time I Saw Your Face" in 1995, which earned More Rockers a vote by Melody Maker for Single of the Year), before issuing such full-lengths as 1998's Selection 2 and the 2001 compilation Select Cuts from More Rockers, often utilizing the vocal talents of such artists as Henry & Louis and Marilyn McFarlane.
