Lee Moon Sae
Lee Moon Sae is a popular South Korean singer, musician and MC. His career began in 1978 and he released his 16th album, Between Us, in 2018. Born January 17 1959, Lee released his debut record, I Am a Happy Man, in 1984 on Seorabeol Records. He began hosting popular TV and radios shows in the 80s and 90s, including Starry Night on MBC FM, which ran from 1985 to 1996. His fourth studio album, When Love Passes By, was released in 1987 and sold a record breaking 2,850,000 million copies. His collaborations with songwriter Lee Young Hoon during this time produced a number of hit ballad numbers, which earned him the nickname “Emperor of Ballads”. He has won numerous Golden Disc Awards, including Album of the Year for When Love Passes By in 1987, which also won the Main Prize that same year. Lee's next album, Standing Under the Shade of a Roadside Tree, released in 1988, went on to sell almost 3 million copies. Other albums include Phew - People, Trees and Rest, which reached Number 6 on the Korean charts in 1999 and New Direction, which made the top 5 in 2015.
