La chorale de Y'a du monde à messe

Made up of a dozen members, La Chorale de Y'A du Monde à Messe takes a humorous approach to choral singing. The Quebec-based troupe brings together long-time friends with a passion for singing. Building on this common denominator, the singers made a name for themselves on the program of Christian Bégin, a Canadian actor and TV host who has been a favorite of French-speaking audiences for three decades. He invited them to appear on his show Y'a du monde à messe, recorded at the Théâtre Paradoxe in a church setting. The program, which has been broadcast on Télé-Québec since 2017, reveals the choir, which takes off and produces the title "Le Soir du 24 décembre" for the 2021 Christmas celebration. The following year, La Chorale de Y'a du Monde à Messe set about writing and recording its first album, Juste Après Novembre, released in November 2022, featuring nine original tunes inspired by the celebration of Christmas, with the bilingual group's trademark sense of humor. The song "Noël au soleil ", taken from the album, reached number 42 on the Quebec radio charts one week later.
