Klone

Hailing from Poitiers, France, Klone have been playing progressive metal since their debut in 1999. Their story began in 1995, under the name Sowat, which already featured guitarist and singer David Ledoux, guitarist Guillaume Bernard, bassist Julien Comte and drummer Laurent Thomas. Two years after a self-released album, Korzeam , the group changed its name to Klone in 1999, and was strengthened by the arrival of a new guitarist, Mika Moreau, and a saxophonist and sampleist, Matthieu Metzger. Bassist Julien Comte left the band in 2003 and was replaced by Hugues Andriot. In 2004, after two demos, Klone released their first album, Duplicate . Singer David Ledoux is replaced by Yann Ligner, also lead singer of Mistaken Element. He appears for the first time on the High Blood Pressure EP , released in 2004 by Klonosphère. Bassist Hugues Andriot and drummer Laurent Thomas leave the band, replaced by Jean-Étienne Maillard and Florent Marcadet respectively. Four years later, All Seeing Eye is released, with U.S. distribution. This was followed by Black Days in 2010, The Dreamer's Hideaway in 2012, and Here Comes the Sun in 2015. Meanwhile, in 2012, guitarist Mika Moreau left the band. He was succeeded by Aldrick Guadagnino. In 2017, Klone took up the challenge of an album, Unplugged, recorded acoustically and live. After Le Grand Voyage (2019), Klone demonstrates its mastery of the stage with Alive , an album recorded live in 2021. He then returned to the studio for Meanwhile, a ten-track album, including the title track, released in 2023.
