Karo

Born in Sherbrooke in 1946, Karo, whose real name is Caroline Vallée, is a pop singer from Quebec. She began her career as part of a duo of fancy singers in 1964. She then joined a trio that toured the boîtes à chansons. In 1966 and 1967, she recorded covers of hit songs for the Match label. In 1967, she won first prize in the Concours Découvertes program , hosted by Yoland Guérard, on the Télé-Métropole television station. That same year, she released the single " Un Garçon en mini-jupe ", which became her first hit. Karo scored several chart hits in subsequent years, with " Les Bibittes " and " Sur ta moto " in 1968, " Pauvre grand-maman " and " Une fille en monokini " in 1969, " Des gens sympathiques " in 1970 and " My my my " in 1972.
