Jasta

Jasta is the solo vehicle of Jamey Jasta, best known as the founder and frontman for the Grammy-nominated hardcore juggernauts Hatebreed. Like his flagship band, Jasta utilizes punk, hardcore, and metal elements, a concoction he brewed to perfection on his 2011 eponymous debut. Subsequent efforts like Lost Chapters, Vol. 1 (2017) and Vol. 2 (2019) and 2023's And...Jasta for All saw the prolific vocalist, producer, and podcaster continue to refine his melodic metalcore sound with help from a murderer's row of genre heavyweights. In 2011, the gruff vocalist made his solo debut with Jasta, a melodic metalcore album that featured guest appearances from guitarist Zakk Wylde and As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis. Lost Chapters, a nine-track set that was largely composed of singles that were originally released digitally, followed in 2017. Two years later, Jasta returned with a second installment of the series. The aptly named Lost Chapters, Vol. 2 featured material fronted by an all-star cast of guest vocalists, including George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Jesse Leach and Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage), Matt Heafy (Trivium), and Max Cavalera. Early 2023 saw the release of the hard-hitting single "Assimilation Agenda," featuring vocals from Exodus' Steve "Zetro" Souza. The song appeared on the full-length And...Jasta for All, which arrived later that year and also included guest spots from Scott Ian (Anthrax), Chuck Billy (Testament), and Phil Demmel (Machine Head), among others.
