Jann Klose
German-born singer/songwriter Jann Klose makes melodic, soulful, singer/songwriter pop/rock. Born in Mannheim, Germany, Klose actually grew up in South Africa. He spent his teen years moving between his home in Hamburg and Cleveland, Ohio where he traveled as an exchange student with the American Field Service. It was during this time that he began singing and playing piano and guitar. After high school, Klose studied voice and performed with various choirs in the United States, even appearing in several productions with the Cleveland Opera Chorus. A move to New York in 2000 found Klose work in several musicals including a production of the Who's Tommy, a touring Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde, and a European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. It was also after moving to New York that Klose began recording and releasing his own albums including Enough Said (1997), The Strangest Thing (1999), The Black Box EP (2003), Reverie (2007), and the Sacrifice EP (2010). In 2012, Klose appeared on the soundtrack to the film Greetings from Tim Buckley singing Buckley's songs. In 2013, he released the album Mosaic, which featured a cover of the Tim Buckley composition "Song to the Siren."
