Dan Davidson

Although best known as a member of the Canadian rock group Tupelo Honey, Dan Davidson also established himself as a country artist during the mid-2010s, an era that found him scoring a platinum-certified hit with the solo single "Found." He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1983, and co-founded Tupelo Honey in 2003. The band debuted in 2006 with a self-titled EP. Although he initially served as the band's guitarist and harmony vocalist, Davidson became the frontman in 2010, pushing the group toward a pair of Top 40 hits on the Canadian Active Rock & Alt Rock Chart before launching a solo career in 2014. As Tupelo Honey lapsed into inactivity, he made his solo debut with 2015's "Unkiss Her" and set a new record for the highest-charting independent single on the Canadian country charts with his 2016 follow-up, "Found." The song reached number 16 on the Canada Country chart and appeared on the EP Songs for Georgia in 2017. During the early 2020s, he released 6 Songs to Midnight and enjoyed success in Australia, where "Roll With It" and "Really Shouldn't Drink Around You" both charted within the Top 30 on the Australian Country Hot 50 chart. Although neither single charted in Canada, Davidson did return to the Canada Country chart with "He Met a Girl," which debuted at number 60 in early 2024.
