Corbeau

Quebec rock band formed in 1977 by Donald Hince, Jean Millaire and Marjo (from 1978), Michel Lamothe, Pierre Harel (until 1979) and Roger Belval. The band released their first album of the same name in 1979, with the songs " Agriculture " and " Cash-moé ", both of which hit the Quebec radio charts. The band released their second opus, Fou , in 1981. The song " J'lâche pas " scored their first career number-one. The following year saw the release of the album Illégal, on which five songs charted in Quebec: the title track " Ailleurs ", " Maladie d'amour ", " Rouler" and " Si tu voulais". Corbeau wins the Félix for Group of the Year at the ADISQ gala in 1981 and 1982, and the Félix for Best Rock Album of the Year in 1982. The Visionnaire EP is released in 1983. In 1984, the band performed at the Francofolies de la Rochelle and at the Rock and Roll Circus show at the Olympia in Paris. At the end of 1984, they release Dernier Cri, an album recorded during their show at Montreal's Spectrum that same year. The group disbanded at the end of the same year. Founders Michel Lamothe, Pierre Harel and Roger Belval reunited in 1991 to form Corbach. In 2002, the group reunited, except for Jean Millaire and Marjo, to record the album Hôtel Univers, under the group name Corbeau 85. In 2009, the original version of Corbeau, with the exception of Pierre Harel, reunited to record the song " Demain " for Marjo's opus Marjo Et Ses Hommes.
