Cj
Inspired by hip-hop eminences like Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Pop Smoke, Chris Soriano (born in 1997), better known as his rapper alter ego CJ, started dreaming of making it big in the hip-hop world when he was just a teenager. Armed with just a mic and a laptop, the Staten Island native began recording himself and producing demos. In 2017, he independently released “On Me,” his debut single, which was followed by “Pop,” a high-profile collaboration with controversial rapper 6ix9ine and produced by Dizzy Banko. That same year, the Latino MC hit the jackpot with drill-based single “Whoopty,” which accumulated millions of views on his video streaming channel and went viral on social media, reaching Number 73 on the Irish Singles Chart.
