Seo Soo-jin, known as Soojin, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. She was born on March 9, 1998, in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. Soojin's early interest in performing arts led her to attend Waw Middle School and the Korean Arts High School, where she honed her skills in jazz dance and taekwondo. Her journey in the music industry began as a trainee under DN Entertainment, where she was set to debut with the girl group Vividiva under the stage name N.Na. However, she left the group in 2015 and later joined Cube Entertainment as a trainee in 2016. In 2018, Soojin officially debuted with (G)I-dle, releasing their first mini-album I Am (2018) and the hit single "Latata." The group rapidly gained popularity, with Soojin contributing significantly to their success. She also ventured into fashion, co-hosting the fashion show Minnie Soojin's i'M THE TREND with fellow group member Minnie in 2020. Soon, Soojin embarked on a solo career. In 2023, she signed with BRD Communications and released her debut EP Agassy (2023), marking a new chapter in her career. The EP achieved commercial success, peaking at number 8 on the Korean charts.
