Made with post-breakup listening in mind, Thanks 4 Nothing conversely is almost as varied in emotions and scenarios as Pillow Talk, the album that preceded it by only six months. Tink continues to work closely with Hitmaka and a variable cast of associates who serve up another round of uncluttered productions. They leave ample space regardless of Tink's mode, whether she's bluntly conversational or baring her soul. It peaks early with the plainspoken and individualist "Fake Love," regretful "Toxic" (in the orchestral vein of Jazmine Sullivan's "Lions, Tigers, and Bears"), and the deceptively light of touch "Save Your Soul." The Ty Dolla $ign duet "Let Down My Guard" and Yung Bleu collaboration "Stingy" aren't to be missed, either.
